For him to bring it up is a low blow. She understands where his anger bubbles from, but seeing a blow coming doesn't make it hurt any less.]

[Curt. What else is there to say? There's many who'd see her retreat from the world as cowardice and selfishness. If she were in Jack's shoes, she'd see it that way. What sort of soldier abandons their comrades?

But times have changed. Neither of them are the good soldiers they were trained to be.]
